CRISPY OVEN BAKED LEMON AND HERB WINGS

Satisfy your wing cravings with these oven baked crispy AF glazed wings, the same texture as deep fried but without the extra calories. These are marinated in lemon, garlic, and oregano, then finished with a herby honey glaze. For the ultimate crispy skin dust with baking powder before heading into a stinking hot oven for 30 min. Serve with a dressed salad!

Ingredients

  1. Pack of 12 wings

  2. Baking powder

Marinade

  1. 3 tsp minced garlic

  2. 2 tbsp olive oil

  3. Juice of 1/2 lemon

  4. 1 tbsp oregano

  5. 1 tsp salt

  6. Black pepper

Glaze

  1. 2 tbsp honey

  2. 2 tbsp butter

  3. 1 tsp minced garlic

  4. 1 tsp herbs of province

  5. 2 tbsp fresh rosemary

  6. 1 tsp lemon zest

  7. Salt and pepper

Instructions


In a large bowl combine all the marinade ingredients and dump in the wings, stab them all over to help the marinade penetrate. Cover and chill in the fridge for a minimum of 1hr. 


Preheat the oven to 210C. Lay the wings across a wire rack tray and dust both sides of the wings with baking powder (this makes them extra crispy). Bake in the oven for around 30min or until golden/crispy; flip them half way to ensure even crispiness. 


Meanwhile make the glaze, in a small saucepan melt the butter on a low heat, once melted add in the garlic and herbs. Allow to cook for a few min until the herbs and garlic have cooked off but not browned. Finally finish with the lemon zest, honey and a little salt and pepper. 


Once the wings are cooked brush them with the glaze and pop back in the oven for a few min until glossy.
